About Me
As a mother of two, I understand the importance of having a supportive and knowledgeable Birth Doula. As a DONA-trained Birth Doula, I provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to pregnant individuals, before, during, and after childbirth. My goal is to help you have a positive and empowering birth experience that you will cherish for a lifetime. This is an exciting day. I want to help frame the day as one of love, joy and kindness.

I believe that your reality is based on past events, what you've witnessed, been told or heard. Pregnancy isn't always comfortable. Birth is not like media portrays. Labor doesn't need to be something that you survive. With the comfort and trust of a caring Birth Doula, families can have tools, to create a plan that works with them. I would love to be a supportive member of your team.

I believe that every human deserves to have their voice heard and respected. I respect all humans. However you have decided to create your family is beautiful. It is an honor to be invited into such a sacred space and form such lasting connections. My role is not to judge or pass my bias on to you. I will offer my professional experience without influencing your choices.

Yay! Now you know my role and beliefs, lets see if we can form a personal connection. I do not need to be for everyone. That's okay.

I am a creative person. I find joy in Knitting and Crochet. l love helping my community of Orange/Durham Counties in NC. My Husband and I learned the art of Leather Working during the pandemic. My children are my biggest joys of life. Henry made me a mom in 2012 and Paul completed our family in 2017. We deeply value family time. We hike, cook together, laugh at our ducks in the yard, whatever the boys are interested in we embrace. Making memories is the best hobby.

I feel my best working as a Birth Doula in a hospital setting. Natural births can and do happen in hospitals. If that is your choice, I support you. I also have experience with epidurals, if that is your choice, I support you.
I do not accept clients and/or labor support people who smoke. I have asthma. I am not able to give my best support when I feel I am struggling.

One Month for One Mom
I feel that the connect and trust formed between client and Doula is very special. I have a rare policy of only accepting one client per month. Due dates are a tricky thing. In reality you can go into labor 2 weeks before or after your "due date." If I accept multiple clients, I can not guarantee I will be available when it is your turn. I will only use a back up, birth doula near me, if I am sick or family emergency. I truly do not want my client load to change your birthing experience. Based on this rare belief, I am firm on my pricing. I also try and balance clients who have means to pay, with clients who do not have the same options. I find joy in giving back to the community. The same care is given despite financial means.
Thank you for respecting my values and choices. My pricing is $1,111. If we form a connection and you select me, I require a non refundable fee of $250.00 when contract is signed. The remainder is required by the 36th week of pregnancy. The $250.00 is taken out of the 1,111 price. It is not extra.
